To the Editor:
I want to formally thank those students that attended our final home game last Thursday. Diane and Dan from the Blue Crew were phenomenal in generating enough excitement to get some students to help lead us to victory. I can not express to you what your involvement that night meant to my players, who work so hard to receive recognition from their peers.
We are very excited about the future of our program, but, as a first-year head coach, new to Saint Louis University, I am more excited about the arrival of the students in West Pine Gym that night. There is no doubt in my mind that your cheering and enthusiasm helped will us to victory. I have been a part of successful women’s basketball programs before but I have never been a part of the students rushing the floor after a victory. That is a memory that won’t be forgotten when our players recollect their SLU experience.
Next year promises more victories. My only hope is that you liked what you saw on Thursday and that you will come back.
Thank you-again and remember, pizza is on me! ??
