Stealing Under $750
Saint Joseph Parking Lot
A career criminal was arrested by DPS officers for breaking into two vehicles parked on the Saint Joseph Lot, stealing two vehicles parked on the lot and taking two CD players from the vehicles. DPS had received an earlier call for a subject tampering with the vehicles. On arrival, officers observed two vehicles that had their CD players removed. Officers located a witness and a description of the suspect was placed on the air. A DPS Bike Patrol Officer later arrested the subject in the rear alley of 4158 Lindell. The subject had in his possession a screwdriver and two stolen CD players. The arrested subject and the recovered property were turned over to City Police. They will apply for felony warrants later this date.

Robbery, 1st Degree
Laclede Ave. (City Street)
A University employee was robbed at knifepoint while he walked west on Laclede. The employee was not harmed. The employee’s wallet had been taken during the incident. The suspect fled the area. St. Louis City Police were notified, responded and filed a report.

Attempted Robbery, 2nd Degree
207 N. Grand (City Street)
A student was grabbed by an individual who demanded money from her. The student did not have any money, so the subject pushed her to the ground and fled the scene. The student received a minor scratch to her neck.

Informational
3600 Hickory (City Street)
A student reported she was approached by a subject demanding her keys. After refusing to give them to the subject, he grabbed the keys from her. She turned and ran into Wohl Hospital. The subject then fled in her vehicle. SLPD responded to the scene. Her vehicle was located a short time later in west St. Louis city and a suspect was placed under arrest. The student was not harmed. Warrants will be applied for by City Police.

A student reported that between 1/16/00, 1700 hours and 1/17/00, 1730 hours, person(s) unknown removed an electric hair trimmer from his room. There was no sign of forced entry.

Griesedieck Hall (1 Arrest)
DPS officers responded to a report of a suspicious person in the lobby area. A REJIS check revealed an active warrant on the subject. SLPD was contacted and took the subject into custody.
