AMC West Olive Theater
12657 Olive Blvd

Prices: The cost of a movie ticket will run you $7.25, unless you have your student id, then you can get in for $5.25.
Theaters: There is 16 screens at West Olive. All of them are stadium seating, and they also all have cuddle seating. Advance tickets are also available.
What’s Good: The theater is very big, and the chances of getting into a popular movie are good. It also has two snack bars, which cuts down on the time waiting in line.
What’s Bad: The I-270 and Olive traffic is what’s bad. Unless you live out that way, getting to a rush-hour show can be a pain.
Wehrenberg
Des Peres Cine
Manchester & Hwy 270
314-822-CINE
Prices: The cost for an adult ticket at Des Peres will run $7.00 and the cost with a student ID will cost $5.00.
Theaters: There are 14 theaters, and they have all stadium seating. In the future all the theaters will also have snuggle seating( the same as cuddle seating). Also all the theaters have Sony digital sound systems. Des Peres also offers advanced tickets and reserved seating.
What’s Good: Another big theater that is located in a populous area. The individual theaters are big and can seat a lot of people. The reserved seating can be a great benefit, if you buy your tickets early.
What’s Bad: The parking is horrible; they even need police to control it on the weekends. Also because of the population, movies sell out relatively fast.
AMC Esquire Theater
6706 Clayton Road
314-781-3300
Prices: The cost of a ticket will run you $6.50 for an adult and $4.50 if you have a student ID.
Theaters: There are seven theaters. None of them have stadium seating or cuddle seating. Advance tickets are available but no reserved seating.
What’s Good: A great theater if you are going to be out in the Clayton, Richmond Heights Area.
What’s Bad: Not very many screens, and the wait in line can go be long. A very popular theater that sells out quickly on weekends.
Wehrenberg
Ronnies Cine
S. Linbergh and
Baptist Church Rd.
314-822-CINE
Prices: Prices for Ronnies will run you $7.00 for an adult and $5.00 with your student ID.
Theaters: The new Ronnies offers 20 screens, the most of any theater in the St. Louis Area. All theaters have snuggle seating and have Sony Digital Sound. This Friday all 20 theaters will be up and running. Advanced tickets are also available.
What’s Good: Everything. Coming Friday, there will be a restaurant inside the complex, an awesome game room with bowling lanes. Wehreberg also took care of the parking problem that was with the old Ronnies, and now there is triple the amount of parking.
What’s Bad: Nothing as of yet. The only problems that might arise is the crowds of moviegoers who want to see the new theaters. This might make it hard to get tickets for some of the more popular flicks.
Wehrenberg
Kenrick Cine
7505 Watson Rd.
314-822-CINE
Prices; Adult ticket prices are $6.75 and with a student costs $4.75.
Theaters: There are eight screens that have stadium seating. In the future there are plans to make it all stadium seating and also to have snuggle seating. Kenrick also offers advanced tickets and reserved seating.
What’s Good: A small theater that is convenient. It gets busy, but the large snack bar and quick box office keep people moving. It also offers late-night shows that the nearby Crestwood theater does not. Again, the reserved seating can be helpful. There is also a lot of parking.
What’s Bad: Since it is a small theater, it is not yet equipped with the all stadium seating and snuggle seating that other theaters offer.
AMC Galleria Theater
Located inside the Galleria Mall
314-721-8722
Prices: The ticket prices are $6.50 for adult and $4.50 for students.
Thaeters: The Galleria does not offer stadium seating or cuddle seating. There is 6 screens. Also available is advance tickets.
What’s Good: The convenience of doing some shopping and being able to catch a flick.
What’s Bad: The theaters are all small and there is no stadium seating or cuddle seating. It also gets crowded on the weekends, and the small theaters sell out.
AMC
Crestwood Theater
Located inside Crestwood Mall
314-968-8500
Prices: The ticket prices are $6.50 for adult and $4.50 for students.
Theaters: The Crestwood has 10 screens. At this time there is no stadium seating or cuddle seating.
What’s Good: The convenience of being able to shop and also catch a movie. Crestwood Mall also offers several restaurants for dinner. Also available is advance tickets.
What’s Bad: Even though it does have 10 screens, they are all pretty small. It also does offer the qualities that the bigger theaters offer, like stadium seating and snuggle seating.
Final Analysis: Personally I like West Olive and the new Ronnies best. The most convenient would have to be Kenrick or one of the two mall theaters. The facts are all there; in the end you just have to make a choice. Good luck, and I hope the date goes well.
