A suspicious subject was taken into custody after being observed following a parish priest. A wanted check revealed two active warrants on the subject. SLPD responded and took him into custody.

A student reported that she received approximately 20 hang-up calls. Her incoming calls were temporarily transferred to the Reinert front desk. No other incoming calls were received during this time.

Assault 3rd Degree
Clock Tower
(1 Arrest)
A subject not affiliated with the University touched a female student on her foot while she was sitting on a bench. He was demonstrating unusual behavior, was arrested and later turned over to SLPD. An advisory will be sent to other Colleges and Universities in the area. A misdemeanor warrant was later issued by the Circuit Attorney’s Officer for “Assault 3rd Degree” against the subject.

AN employee reported she had left her office open and unattended. When she returned she noticed a package of batteries and two ink cartridges missing from the storage cabinet. The items valued $30.00. No witnesses could be located.

Grand and Olive
Police arrested a subject for armed robbery after he approached a parked vehicle at the above location, and stole the victim’s cell phone. Police officers on foot patrol observed the subject and began to pursue him. The subject was later arrested without incident. The victim of this offense is not affiliated with the University. This is not a reportable offense to the Department of Education.

Detroit Mercy Parking Lot
A DPS officer observed a subject with his hands on the front license plate of a vehicle. The subject was apparently tampering with the renewal stickers. He was later detained. A.F.I.R. check revealed two active warrants on him. SLPD responded and took him into custody.
