A visitor reported that he left his wallet in the restroom and when he returned to retrieve it, it was gone.

An employee reported that person(s) unknown took her wallet from an unlocked desk drawer while she was at lunch. The office was unlocked during the time of the theft.
3. Tuesday, March 26

Schwitalla Hall
An employee reported that person(s) unknown removed change and four magnets from the Lab area. Pending DPS investigation.
4. Sunday, March 31
Stealing Under $750.00 Reinert Hall
A student reported that money was missing from his wallet.
There were no witnesses to the theft.
5. Monday, April 1
Attempt Robbery – US Bank (BMC) (1 Arrest)
At approximately 3:17 p.m. a subject approached the bank teller in the BMC and asked for $50s and $100s and announced a robbery. The subject observed the teller attempting to push the alarm and immediately left the bank, walking north on Grand Avenue DPS officers who were responding to the BMC on a report of a suspicious person immediately arrested the subject without incident. He was later turned over to SLPD.
The FBI was notified and is handling the incident. The subject was unarmed and nothing was taken. The subject is a career criminal who has served 20 years in prison for multiple bank robberies in the Detroit area. He was charged with “Attempted Robbery.” A felony warrant was later issued by the Circuit Attorney’s Office.
