Stealing Under $750

Canisius Parking Lot

DPS responded to a report of a subject taking license plates off vehicles. Upon arrival, no one was seen in the area. An investigation revealed that one vehicle had its license renewal stickers taken.

Attempted Stealing

Reinert Hall (1 arrest)

DPS responded to a report of a suspect attempting to steal a tire off a bike chained to a bike rack. The suspect was apprehended by DPS officers. A search of the subject revealed a pair of vice grips in his pocket.

Village Apartments-Bldg “A”

DPS officer observed a student kicking two ballard lights. The student was also observed drinking beer, even though he was underage. DPS issued him a summons and notified Residence Life. The incident is being referred to the Judiciary Committee.

DPS officers observed a student butting into a ballard light. After the light did not go off, she struck it with her fist. She was detained and issued a summons by SLPD and then released. The incident was sent to the Judiciary Committee.

Two subjects were taken into custody after being observed by DPS officers removing signs from the food court. The subjects are not affiliated with the University and were turned over to SLPD.

Missouri Controlled Substance Law: Possession

(1 arrest)

Georgetown Loop

DPS was contacted by an individual. He stated he was robbed in the 4200 block of Duncan (off campus). SLPD was notified and responded. The subject changed his story several times and appeared to be under the influence of an unknown substance. The subject’s vehicle was searched by SLPD and a large bag of what appeared to be marijuana was found. The subject was arrested and his vehicle was towed. The subject is not affiliated with the University.

Notre Dame Hall

A student was taken into custody for possession of a small amount of marijuana and a pipe. The student was observed coming out of the hall carrying a small plastic bag with what appeared to be marijuana. Residence Life responded and the incident was given to the Judiciary Committee.

A contract employee reported that person(s) unknown had stolen a micro tape recorder from her desktop, located in a cubicle on the second floor.

Unlawful Use of a Weapon: Flourishing and Destruction of Property

Marchetti Towers

DPS and Residence Life responded to a report of a visitor who entered an apartment without permission, displayed a knife and threatened physical violence to the occupant. The subject also damaged an apartment wall. DPS later located and arrested the subject in another apartment and turned him over to SLPD.
