Casey Hohman, Saint Louis University student, died Friday afternoon, Feb. 15 afternoon of heart complications at Barnes Jewish Hospital. She was 22.
Hohman was a senior majoring in marketing and finance in the John Cook School of Business.
She was an active member of the SLU community, involved in the service fraternity Alpha Phi Omega and Sigma Kappa sorority.
Hohman had a heart transplant in November and died from inoperable complications.

The Hohman family asked that memorial contributions be made to the Make-A-Wish Foundation and the St. Louis Heart Transplant Association.
On Tuesday, Feb. 19, a date auction sponsored by the Residence Hall Association donated all their proceeds to the American Heart Association in Hohman’s name. More than 50 people volunteered to be auctioned, but there was only time for 40.
Sydney O’Quinn, vice-president of RHA and Kristin Hoff, programming chair, organized the event, which raised a total of $1,225.
“We are very happy with the way the auction went,” O’Quinn said. “People really enjoyed it, and a lot of money was raised for a good cause.”
The wake was held on Monday at BAUE Funeral Home. The funeral Mass, celebrated by Doody, was Tuesday at St. Kevins Church in St. Ann. Hohman was buried at St. Charles Memorial Gardens.
Hohman is survived by her father, Vince, her mother, Sharon, her sisters, Kori and Jamie, and her boyfriend, Shane.
A memorial service is planned at St. Francis Xavier (College) Church at a date to be determined.
