Billi-kenections: Trendy places to take your boo in the city nicknamed ‘The Lou’

What is the most essential and important aspect of dating? The
answer, obviously, is the first date.

The stress of not only asking someone, but then thinking of
something fun to do can be overwhelming, if not discouraging.

Luckily, you go to school in a city filled with activities to
fit a college budget. If you’re looking for some unique and
interesting places in St. Louis, you won’t have to look far.

For the timid or hesitant person, there are plenty of options.
This list contains places that are perfect for a date, day or
night.

Daytime dates are a perfect relief from the pressure of a first
date. Nighttime dates are usually more defined and take a little
more nerve to work up to.

Regardless of when you go, the person you do ask will be so
impressed with your creativity that he or she couldn’t possibly
turn down your offer.

Forest Park provides activities that are guaranteed to be
engaging and, conveniently, free. The St. Louis Zoo is a popular
destination with 5,000 different animals to see, including the
ever-popular penguins.

If you’re looking for a place that’s a little less crowded and
indoors, try the Missouri History Museum, or the St. Louis Art
Museum, also located in the park.

Looking for something more active? Join the locals and take a
loop around the park on roller blades.

In the winter months, don’t forget the ice skating rink, which
isn’t free but is inexpensive.

After a day in the park you’re going to be hungry, but you’re
going to have to pass the Central West End on your way back to
campus. Hang a right or left on Euclid and you’ll find an array of
chic shops and trendy restaurants.

From the Drunken Fish, a late night sushi spot, to the Coffee
Cartel, you’re bound to find something for any appetite.

Another landmark in St. Louis is Union Station. This old train
station is crammed with 80 stores and restaurants, as well as a
place to paddleboat.

Craving some good Italian? Don’t go anywhere other than The
Hill.

Wanting to go out for the city’s best margaritas in an enjoyable
atmosphere?

Check out Hacienda located on Manchester Road. And if you’re up
for the wait, make sure you try the Cheesecake Factory at the
Galleria–the name says it all.

The other major hot spots in Saint Louis that are must-sees
include: the Fox Theatre for a Broadway show, the Pageant to see
your favorite artist, Busch Stadium to catch a Cardinals game, or
to the Edward Jones Dome to watch the Rams.

Don’t forget to end any Saint Louis outing with some Ted Drewe’s
Frozen Custard.

Hopefully, you have gathered some new ideas for your next date.
Just remember that going someplace where you can have a good time
and spend a lot of time talking are the two key elements to a
successful first date.

If that goes well, with a list like this, you should both be
entertained for quite some time.
