Slick or sweet costumes for Halloween haunts

If you’re going to a Halloween party this year, there is one you
must do–look hot. It’s the only time of year when you can dress
however you would like, and have it be socially acceptable. From
provocative to outrageous, we the most radical costume you can come
up with. But to save you some time and effort I asked the experts
at Johnny Brocks, located in Hampton Village, what is hot for 2004.
They took me downstairs to their renown “Dungeon,” which contains
the adult Halloween costumes, but be advised: You may not enter
this section of the store if you are under 18. In the dungeon I
found every costume imaginable. From a plug and socket costume to a
wall of wigs; they are the Halloween superstore.

According to the associates, if you want to be fashion
forward this season you need to dress as a pirate. Superheroes and
the Wizard of Oz characters are equally popular. Ladies, try the
“sexy” section if you’re looking for a slightly more figure-forming
and revealing costume. From Strawberry Shortcake, to Catwoman, to
Kill Bill, they have just about everything. Most popular in this
section is the sexy cop and sailor. And as I mentioned earlier, the
pirate is the costume for this Halloween and they have it in the
sexy section as well. The gentlemen’s costumes are slightly less
elaborate, but the hot ones for this year include gangsters,
werewolves and bananas.

Have a Halloween date party to go to? If you’re going as a pair
this year, the most popular costumes are pirates, nurses and
patients, cops and jailbirds, and flappers and gangsters. But
according to the experts at Johnny Brocks people aren’t going as
pairs this year. If you want to go as a pair, you’re going to need
to be creative. Over the weekend I saw many pairs dressed as
Jessica and Nick, but show some creativity!

No time to shop for a costume or not wanting to spend a fortune?
Here are a few easy ideas. Devils and angels are always easy. All
you need is a pair of horns or wings and a halo. Pair that with an
all-black outfit or an all-white outfit, and you’re good to go.
Have a mask lying around? Pair that with a solid colored outfit and
your costume is complete. Vampires and cops are very popular pieced
outfits. With these, you only need the accessories to go with
clothes you already have. Johnny Brocks has all of the accessories
you can imagine. From fake blood to fake diamonds, they have it
all.
