On Dec. 7, University Provost Joseph Weixlmann, Ph.D., gave a brief speech about several historical events concerning race and the importance of accepting and understanding diversity on campus and in the community. The event took place from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the Cross Cultural Center, in the Busch Student Center.
Weixlmann’s speech is the third and final installment of a set of speeches of the “A Taste of Culture” Brown Bag Lunch series, organized by the CCC and Student Government Association.
Refreshments and dessert were served after the speech, and the event was open to all faculty, staff, students and alumni.
