Mackenzie Burns will serve as this year’s Student Government Association election commissioner.
“I want to bring energy and enthusiasm back to the election,” Burns said.
Senators approved Burns’ appointment to the position at Wednesday’s SGA meeting.
Burns will supervise the elections, which will take place in February.
Currently a senator representing the John and Lucy Cook School of Business, Burns, a senior, has served on SGA for five semesters.
She has previously represented DeMattias Hall and the Student Village Apartments, and she was the ambassador from the Madrid Campus when she studied abroad there.
“I’m really excited,” Burns said. “It’s a good way to finish out my term in the Senate.”
