Kent Porterfield, who has served as vice president for student development at Saint Louis University for three years, is one of four final candidates in Northwest Missouri State University’s search for a new president.
Porterfield will be on Northwest Missouri’s campus today and tomorrow to meet with students, administrators and community members.
In an e-mail to The University News, Porterfield said he remains “excited about and committed to the future of Saint Louis University and the many new initiatives we are actively pursuing to continuously improve the student experience.
“Northwest is my alma mater and an institution where I worked for more than 16 years prior to coming to SLU,” he said. “To have been selected as a finalist for the presidency at a university where I have such strong ties has presented a unique opportunity for me and my family. I am honored to be considered.”
