The University News was awarded the title Best in State by the Missouri College Media Association this weekend in Kansas City, Mo., among other awards.
The University News also received first place in its division, Division 1, which includes schools such as University of Missouri, Washington University in St. Louis, University of Missouri-St. Louis, among others. Best in State is determined based on comparing the first-place winners from each of the four different divisions of college newspapers.
