(U-WIRE)- And the wins just keep on coming …
The Bears have won championships. They have had the Division III Player of the Year for two years running. They’ve even had a perfect season.
With blowout triumphs over Case Western (78-58) and Rochester (90-43), the Bears extended their record winning streak to 60 consecutive games.
“While our ultimate goal is to win the national championship, we’re going to take a little time to enjoy this,” said Bears Head Coach Nancy Fahey.
If wins are ultimately the measure of success, then this group of women could soon be seen as the most successful of all time. The Bears play at Carnegie Mellon on Friday in the game that will decide whether or not the Bears can establish the longest winning streak by an NCAA women’s basketball team ever.
