Recruit Signs To Play

The Saint Louis University men’s basketball team has signed 6-foot-9 recruit John Seyfort.

Coach Lorenzo Romar said, “We think John is a steal, because he’s a good rebounder and defender as well as being a good athlete.”

Seyfort averaged 14 ppg and 12 rpg in his junior season at Stevensville High School in Stevensville Montana.

Stevensville has gone 44-2 during the past two seasons and have finished as state runner up both years.

Seyfort was also recruited by Stanford, Gonzaga, New Mexico and Washington State.

Women’s Basketball

JUCO Stand-out Signs

Tommie Walden has signed to play basketball at Saint Louis University.

The 5-foot-8 guard will have two years of eligibility beginning next season. She has been playing at Meridian Junior College where she averaged eight points, seven rebounds and seven assists.

“Tommie is a strong offensive player who has the ability to score from the point guard position. She brings additional size and strength to the position,” said coach Jill Pizzotti.
