VOLLEYBALL

The Saint Louis University men’s volleyball team finished last season by taking third place at the national championships. There was only one goal: to win the national championship.

This year is no different. The team didn’t graduate any seniors and hopes to add a few skilled underclassmen to fortify their claim as one of the best teams in the country.

The season kicks off with tryouts on Saturday, Sept. 15 and Sunday, Sept. 16. Any experienced players are invited to join the team.

FIELD HOCKEY

The Billiken field hockey team picked up their first win of the year last week.

The team dropped to 1-5 on the year after going 1-2 during the week. The Bills lost to the California Bears 5-3 in their first game of the week.

In the second game, the Bills defeated Miami of Ohio 2-0. In their third game of the week the Bills lost to Dartmouth 3-0.

The Billikens next home game is against Pacific on Friday, Sept. 14th at the Anheuser Busch Center in Fenton, Mo.
