Women’s Tournament
Probable starters for No. 6 seed SLU against No. 11 seed Louisville, today at 3 p.m.
Star Jackson, guard
Jackson has provided continuous leadership this season for the Billikens and has been crucial in clutch situations at the free throw line.
Jana Haywood, guard
Haywood has emerged as a major scoring threat for the Bills this season. She has been consistent throughout C-USA matchups and has been in double figures for the last eight games straight.
Harmonie King, guard
King was named C-USA Women’s Basketball Player of the Week last week. King drained 17 points over Louisville this weekend and 16 against Cincinatti.
Stephanie Solomon, center
Solomon has led the Bills defensively and has been solid on the glass. Solomon hit a career-high 19 points on Feb. 7 against UAB.
LaKia Jones, forward
Jones was quiet this weekend in the final but has contributed quality minutes, averaging 20.6 minutes per game and starting in 21 of her 28 appearances.
Men’s Tournament
Seeds and game times will be announced on Monday, following this weekend’s regular-season games.
Probable starters for SLU
Marque Perry, guard
Realistically, Perry has been the heart and soul of the Billikens’ offense this season. His average of 17.5 ppg is deceiving since he has scored well over 20 points in most of the C-USA games.
Drew Diener, guard
Diener picked up more starts towards the end of the season and has lived up to his reputation as one of the best three-point shooters in the league, with 47 so far this season.
Josh Fisher, guard
Fisher has established himself as a capable scorer and is second on the team with an average of 8.5 ppg.
Kenny Brown, center
Brown hasn’t put up big numbers this year, but his presence is intangible in the post. He has limited the league’s leading scorers to a minimal number of points and has emerged as one of the best post defenders in C-USA.
Chris Sloan, forward
Sloan has taken on a larger scoring role during the latter part of the season and has become a threatening perimeter shooter as well as a very threatening post player.
