The Saint Louis University Billikens have upset the Atlantic 10 Conference balance yet again this year as the baseball squad clinched the A-10 Championship crown with a 5-4 victory over Charlotte Saturday, securing the Billikens an automatic berth into the NCAA Tournament.
The squad previously defeated Fordham 16-11 and No. 2 seed Xavier 12-9 in the tournament.
The Billikens next opponent will be revealed when the 16 NCAA regional sites are released tomorrow at 11:30 a.m. on ESPN. This is the second time that SLU has won the A-10 championship after the team won the title in 2006.
The Billikens improve to 32-27 on the year, breaking the school record for wins set previously by the 2006 team.
