The SLU Athletic Department today announced a major addition to the 2010-2011 men’s basketball schedule: SLU at Duke, on December 11 in Durham, N.C.
The game is an enormous step for a Billiken program that has had trouble building up a competitive non-conference schedule. The Blue Devils are the current NCAA national champions, and are expected to be ranked in the top 5 at the beginning of the 2010-2011 season.
The game is tentatively scheduled for national television on CBS.
The men’s basketball schedule for the coming season will also include home games against Georgia, Xavier, and Dayton, as well as a nationally televised tournament in Cancun. The complete schedule will be released in October.
