Soccer Bills notch a win at Nike tourney

After a rocky start to the regular season last week at home, the Saint Louis Billikens picked up their first win of the season this weekend at the Nike Invitational Tournament in Portland, Ore. The Bills defeated Washington 2-1 on the evening of Sept. 4, but were handed a 3-1 loss by the Portland Pilots on Sept.

Saint Louis University's volleyball team added its name to a record list for the second time this past weekend, becoming the 67th victim in Pennsylvania State University's unprecedented NCAA-record unbeaten streak. Basketball schedule announced

The Saint Louis men's basketball team will bring new challenges and old foes to St. Louis. The non-conference schedule was announced late last week by the Athletic Department. The 14-game slate is highlighted by contests against Georgia, Iowa State, Nebraska and either Northwestern or Notre Dame.

The Saint Louis University Volleyball team will host two-time defending national champion and preseason No. 1 Penn State. Bell welcomes additions to an already strong staff

Saint Louis University's cross country and track and field teams are receiving help from several new faces. In addition to five new freshmen recruits, three new coaches have been added to the staff. Ryan Bak, Jessica Scott and Valorie Thorson join an already impressive staff, led by head coach Jon Bell.

Dan Donigan showed no hesitation in utilizing his new players in the Bills' first match against Missouri State University. Named the No. 10 recruiting class in the country by Soccer America's coaches' poll, Saint Louis University saw 19 total players receive playing time, 12 of whom were newcomers.

Saint Louis University's women's soccer team will host the Northwestern Wildcats (0-1-1) in the season's home opener at 1 p.m. this Sunday at Robert R. Hermann Stadium. The Billikens (0-1-0) hope to build on their effort from last week, a 2-1 loss at Vanderbilt to open the season.

Intramural league welcomes international students to SLU

While the number of international students attending Saint Louis University continues to rise, departments across campus are making adjustments to help make college life easier for these traveling scholars, and to welcome them to the SLU community. This year, the Department of Campus Recreation is doing its part by establishing an International Students Intramural League.
