Gotta Catch Da Fusz Feva:

Infecting Students Oct. 4

“Got Feva? Catch it October 4.”

So goes the slogan for the upcoming Fusz Feva.

Fusz Feva is a festival that will have carnival games, food, and music on the lawn in front of the Fusz dorm.

This event is open to the Saint Louis University community but is directed towards the students.

“It’s open to the entire campus. Everybody is welcome,” said Jen Moore who is on the Fusz Feva committee and in charge of fundraising for the food.

“We’re doing a lot of advertising for the commuter population because they don’t hear a lot of stuff on what’s going on,” said head of Fusz Feva Committee Carrie Nolan.

According to Public Relations Representative James Hood, the tentative schedule for this event is: DJ Foster from 5 p.m. to 6:30p.m.; an open mic 6:30p.m. to 7:00p.m.; and the band THiRDSHiFT will perform from 7:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.

“Food will start around 7 p.m.,” said Moore.

The open mic is a chance for students to come in and play instruments or sing.

According to Nolan, funding will come from the Fusz Hall Council and Residence Hall Association.

One of the main goals is to put more emphasis on Fusz.

“We want to put Fusz on the map as the place to be. People think that it’s not a lot of fun because we’re mostly singles, and people think that we are closed off. But that is not the case,” said Moore.

If it rains, the event will be moved to the lower level of the Busch Memorial Center. The event is free and sign up is required for the open mic. If interested in open mic, contact Carrie Nolan at 977-4511.
