Music, rides and fun: The plans for Spring Fever sponsored by the Student Activities Board continue to fall into place.

“All the bands are big names. It’s awesome!” said Cab Gutting, SAB co-chair of Spring Fever.

All of the bands are originally from St. Louis and are coming to Saint Louis University for a private engagement.

The wide selection of rides came because of their popularity among students. SAB wanted to get more of the types of rides that students liked from the previous years, according to Gutting.

Student organizations are sponsoring booths with carnival games and food. Also, the Laclede Street Bar & Grill Beer Garden will serve beer, margaritas and soda. Since the fireworks were such a big success last year, they are back again, according to Gutting.

Representatives from postnet.com and FM 101.1 The River radio station will be attending the event.

Spring Fever on Friday, April 27, will be the end of the activity-packed week. On Wednesday, April 25, the comedian Jimmy Fallen will entertain students. On Thursday, April 26, SAB is showing the outside presentation of Road Trip.

“It’s going to be an incredible event,” Gutting said. “The only thing missing are the students.”

Student groups interested in running a booth at the event have until this Friday to sign up. “It’s student involvement and students coming to the event that make it a success,” she said.

Gutting said plans are going smoothly and praised Facilities and the Department of Public Safety.

“Basically, everything is going to be bigger and better than last year,” she said.
