In line with the upcoming Diversity Awareness Month in November, nominations are now open for the Kathy W. Humphrey Award for Diversity. The award seeks to recognize individuals who demonstrate exceptional scholarship, service and leadership skills while promoting cultural awareness. The award is presented every year to three sets of students, faculty and staff members.
“We live in a multicultural society where we constantly interact with different people,” said David Clark, assistant director of Student Life. “We’re looking for those who embrace diversity in everything they do.”
The deadline for nominations is Wednesday, Oct. 23. A team of student organization leaders that make up a diversity committee will select the nine recipients of the award. The International Student Federation will host the awards ceremony Tuesday, Nov. 19, at the Samuel Cupples House.
If there is a student, faculty or staff member that you would like to nominate for this award, please pick up a nomination form at the Office of Student Life at Notre Dame Hall Room 100. For more information, call David Clark at 977-2806 or e-mail him at [email protected].
