Women’s basketball
Despite double-digit scoring from four separate players, the Billikens fell 61-54 to Duquesne University on Feb. 2.
The Bills also outrebounded the Dukes, 46-39, including 20 offensive rebounds. Junior Lauren Woods led the Billikens with 13 points and three others chipped in with 12 points each.
The difference in the game was the result of a 17-2 second half run by the Dukes.
Senior Amanda Kemezys, one of the three Bills with 12 points, added 11 rebounds for her sixth double-double of the season.
The Billikens start the latter half of the Atlantic 10 schedule on Feb. 7, when the team travels to Dayton.
Men’s basketball
The Billikens 62-36 loss to Richmond on Jan. 30. was an odd one. Not because of the Billikens’ lack of scoring, but for their lack of variety in scoring.
The Billikens went the entire 40 minutes without scoring a three-point shot or free throw. Their entire 36 points came off of two-point field goals.
It is believed to be the first time since 2004 that a NCAA team only scored with two-point baskets.
Kwamain Mitchell accounted for half of the Billikens’ scoring output.
Tennis
Senior Kenneth Nordheim and freshman Mia Elmore were both awarded recent honors by the Atlantic 10 Conference.

Elmore posted a pair of 6-0, 6-0 victories in the No. 4 singles position in SLU’s matches against McKendree and SEMO.
