Just a short walk from campus, the Fabulous Fox Theatre can be a great night out with friends that doesn’t have to break the bank. This upcoming season packs in a combination of acclaimed classics and rising new hits sure to introduce theatergoers to a whole new world of entertainment.
Despite the expensive ticket prices, The Fox offers discounted tickets for college students. To get access to this offer, bring a student ID to the box office of the Fox, located to the right of the main entrance, within two hours of showtime for the specific show you would like to attend. After providing a student ID, you will be given options of $30-$50 tickets in sections the theater has yet to fill. By utilizing this deal, students could save hundreds of dollars seeing hit broadway shows without breaking the bank.
Coming up this fall, The Fox starts its season off with “Life of Pi” from Oct. 7-19, a 2019 musical rendition of the hit book and film. In November, The Fox will welcome “The Notebook”, a musical based on the 1996 romance novel of the same name from Nov. 4-16, followed by a brief run of the theater classic “Les Miserables” from Nov. 18-23.
Heading into 2026, January celebrates “The Outsiders” rolling into the Fabulous Fox from Jan. 7-18, followed just nine days later by the rising star stage show “Hell’s Kitchen” from Jan. 27 to Feb. 8. “Hell’s Kitchen,” a name not yet commonplace in the theater world, is a semi-autobiographical jukebox musical about the upbringing of Alicia Keys in Manhattan. The tail end of February brings one of the biggest shows in theater history to the Fox, “The Phantom of the Opera” from Feb. 21 to Mar. 1.
Spring brings “Beetlejuice” to the theater for a short run from Apr. 24-26 before “Monty Python’s SPAMALOT” takes the stage May 5-17. “SPAMALOT” is a crowd pleaser from the Monty Python comedy family offering a theatrical parody rendition of Arthurian legend. While “SPAMALOT” marks the end of the official lineup, the Fabulous Fox will also be offering two more extras in their season, including “MJ the Musical” from May 19-24 and “Hadestown” from May 29-31.
