To the Editor:
I was honored to be among the 37 recipients of the SGA Faculty Excellence Awards.?As the nomination letters were read aloud, I understood why I was chosen from among hundreds of deserving teachers.?I was there because a student took time to say thank you by writing a letter.
The high I was enjoying from the award was multiplied when a student who saw the University News story used an afternoon to walk across campus and wait past 5:00 for a break in my schedule, just to say thank you in person.??My teacher colleagues will understand completely when I say that her thank you will stay with me forever.
Because it is such a powerful expression, I want to say to the SGA and to the students who have enriched my life: Thank you.
