To the Editor:
Two weekends ago, Students for Life took a record-breaking group of 100 students to Washington DC to participate in the 34th annual March for Life. The March occurs ever year around the anniversary of the landmark Roe V. Wade case to show our lawmakers and fellow American citizens that there is a large demand for the respect of all human life from fertilization to natural death. Students for Life took students from WashU, Truman State
University, the University of Nebraska and a few other schools to join thousands of other individuals to march on our nation’s capital.
The day before the March, Students for Life attended the Cardinal O’Connor Conference on Life. At the conference, Students for Life of Saint Louis University was awarded the second annual Evangelium Vitae Award which is given to the pro-life organization that best exemplifies the ideals of Cardinal O’Connor in excellent pro-life activities over the past year.
It is a great honor which Students for Life earned thanks to the continuous hard-work of all of its members to promote a culture of life on SLU’s campus as well as in the community.
