I would like to alert all Saint Louis University graduate students that the Graduate Writing Center is open for the spring semester. The GWC is located on the fifth floor of Pius XII Memorial Library, Room 503. All consultants are graduate students from the Saint Louis University English Department.
Spring semester hours are as follows:
Monday-10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Tuesday-9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Wednesday-1 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Thursday-9 a.m. to noon, 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Friday-11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Closed weekends and University holidays
All appointments are for one hour.
The GWC helps graduate students with all types of writing, from class papers to dissertations, and everything in between. We are neither a proofreading nor a copy editing service; rather, we work with graduate students one-on-one to resolve issues such as formatting, organization, sentence construction and grammar and even to brainstorm projects. In recent months, GWC consultants have worked with graduate students from virtually all academic disciplines.
To make an appointment with the GWC, graduate students can either call (314) 977-3231 (note: calls from outside the immediate calling area cannot be returned) or e-mail [email protected]. Walk-ins are welcome and subject to the availability of a consultant.
We are proud of the services that we provide, and we hope Saint Louis University graduate students will give us a try.
Bill Rable
Director, Graduate Writing Center
