SLU Community Members,

First-thank you for your support in last week’s SGA elections!
Second-there is often a sharp disconnect between SGA and the students we’re supposed to be representing. We genuinely want that to start changing next year. We are going to begin discussing goals for next year before the school year culminates, and we want to be sure that the goals we set for ourselves are priorities for YOU. In order to be sure of this, we need your feedback.

Please first visit www.voiceforprogress.com and take a look at the ideas we’d like to make happen on our platform, as well as some of the questions and feedback we got on the campaign trail. With those things in mind, e-mail Michael Harriss with things you’d like your SGA to work on for YOU this summer and next year. We want your concerns to be our priority, and we sincerely hope that you feel well-served under our administration.

Lastly, if you feel like you’ve missed your chance to be involved with SGA-you haven’t! We will start taking applications and interviewing for two paid positions within the Student Government Association for next year soon, and there are still a few Senate seats left to be filled. Be on the lookout for info!
Also-we’ve got more than 120 fabulous Student Organizations on this campus that all need solid members and leaders. There are SO many opportunities for involvement and leadership development at SLU. Giving back will certainly enhance your experience here as well as give you a great chance to enhance the experience of others!
