Senior guard Kevin Lisch appears to be OK after leaving the game last Wednesday against Harris Stowe.
Lisch was fouled after trying to save the ball from going out and landed on his back approximately two minutes into the game. He hit the ground hard, was helped off the court by Saint Louis University trainers and left the game for X-rays.
Sports Medicine Director Jonathan Burch said Lisch suffered a “bad” soft-tissue contusion on his tailbone.
“I doubt he’ll practice for a few days,” Burch said. “It will take time to heal. He’ll want to get out there, but we’ll be cautious.”
Last year, Lisch led the Bills with 14.6 points per game, 63 3-pointers and 97 assists. He also contributed 3.8 rebounds per game, a team-high 38 steals and was named to the Atlantic 10 preseason All-Conference team by the league’s coaches.
