Thank you for your enthusiastic support of the Billiken athletic teams. With the second semester beginning, now is your opportunity to play a greater role in intercollegiate athletics. As the Billiken sixth man, you play a major part in all games at Chaifetz Arena. When you attend and join the Blue Crew student section, the entire Saint Louis University community wins through your energy and positive presence in the arena.

The student body makes a huge difference. When you show up in force for women’s and men’s basketball games, you set the tone for an exciting and energizing atmosphere. Chaifetz Arena was built with the students in mind; it is one of the very finest on-campus facilities in the country. Successful teams thrive when the student body is supportive. With that message in mind, I invite you to join your classmates in attending games at Chaifetz. Get behind your classmates who play on the Billiken teams. You won’t find better student-athletes anywhere in the country than right here at SLU.

Our sports marketing staff has worked diligently to design special promotions to generate greater student involvement. Take advantage of the highly popular traditional events, such as the “Billken Blue Out” against Dayton (Feb. 13) and the “Billiken Blizzard” against Xavier (Feb. 24). We have a promotion targeted at students for every remaining Atlantic 10 Conference home game, including the new sombrero give-away against Rhode Island (Feb. 17), and the Pink Zone and NCAA Pack the House promotions for the women’s game against Richmond (Feb. 28).
When your Billikens win on the court, with the student body in the stands, everyone is victorious. Your degree at SLU and the entire community has more value when the Billikens compete to be the best. I look forward to seeing you at Chaifetz Arena soon.
