The Flats at 374, which are just across the street from Reinert Hall, are not in a dangerous area. Have you ever even been over there? The two towers are the Grand View Apartments and the Council Tower Apartments. The area is not a haven for illegal business.
I am over there quite often enough to know that what the previous letter writer has to say is completely incorrect. Ambulances arrive only because a lot of elderly people live at those apartments and things can go wrong. I know because I have brought meals to them while volunteering for Campus Kitchen.
I also lived in Reinert this past year and nothing has ever happened remotely near this place. However, The Village is a dangerous place–we hear so much about it from DPS and The University News. I’d rather be on one of these “island dorms”  like the Flats. Also, the chicken soft tacos at Del Taco are to die for.
Please don’t make false accusations about something you’ve never even experienced.
