To the editor,

The Upper-Class Scholarship Selection Committee has selected five extremely qualified candidates to receive $1,000 each for the upcoming semester. Out of a very competitive applicant pool, the committee spent a great deal of time considering the applications based on a system of objective criteria. In the end, and after a very difficult selection process, the following individuals were selected to receive awards:

Mary Becker
Rachel Buckler
Katrina Impelido
Dawn Neiman
Jesse Sullivan

On behalf of the Student Government Association, we would like to extend heartfelt congratulations to the winners. In addition, we would like to thank each applicant who took the time to complete the process. In such a case, where a large number of accomplished students are all vying for the same prize, one can imagine how difficult the selection becomes.

The applicant pool reflected the accomplishments and values of the student body at Saint Louis University, and we hope that this program will only grow and expand as time progresses.
