The Saint Louis University men’s and women’s track teams are set to compete in their second Atlantic 10 Conference Indoor Track and Field Championships on Saturday at the University of Rhode Island campus in Kingston, R.I.
“We are excited about our goal of attempting to perform better in this year’s meet than last year’s,” Men’s and Women’s Track Coach Jon Bell said. “In addition, this meet will be a good gauge to see not only how far we have come, but to also see how far we need to go.”
In the 2007-2008 season alone, which is just the team’s second season of track and field, the Billikens have posted 11 school records on the men’s side and nine on the women’s.
Following the indoor season, the team will compete outdoors in a six-meet schedule, culminating with the A-10 Championships on May 3 in Amherst, Mass.
